We are delighted to welcome you to our site to provide further insight into The Loriners MAT; to explore what makes us special and to share our aspirations and ambitions for the Trust.
The Loriners Multi Academy Trust was formed by Park Hall Junior Academy in 2022 and is an all primary trust, currently incorporating Park Hall Junior Academy and Park Hall Infant Academy. This is an exciting time to join our trust as we progress on our journey to MAT expansion and development.
We believe that, in primary education, uniqueness is key so that all schools in our MAT, or considering joining us in the future, can be assured that they can continue to hold dear the things that are important to them.
The Loriners MAT embodies the spirit of the Black Country and the proud heritage of our localities. Our vision incorporates ‘being stronger together’ as the trust embraces opportunities to collaborate, connect and commit in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children.
We strongly believe that, by working in partnership with schools both within and outside of our Trust, along with the wider community, we can utilise the strengths of all those involved. We are fortunate to work in partnership with a range of local schools that are also good and outstanding and are of differing faiths and socio-economic groups – working with such a diverse community is truly inspirational and supports all of our children with an enriched and successful educational journey.
Every child deserves the very best education and one which meets their needs. Every year they are in school is a chapter within their educational journey. The only way a child, and family, is able to thrive is to have the very best educators teaching and supporting them. This is why we put our people at the heart of everything we do. Without them we cannot achieve ‘Success for All’. This is why we have a strategic approach to improving our people so that they can achieve their very best. The wellbeing of everyone in our family is of high importance to us. We are a team and we listen and respond to the needs of our children, families and our academies.
We continue to support our educators and our schools through our cluster partners in the borough, typified through our ethos of working together to ensure our children thrive.
We welcome any school who is interested in joining our Trust family to talk to us about a Trust partnership in order to experience this for yourselves.
We look forward to meeting you to consider how we can work together to achieve ‘Being Stronger Together’.
Organisational Structure
The Loriners MAT has a committed and well established board of Members who quality assure the work of the trust at all levels. Meeting annually in their formal capacity, a number of members also attend trust Board Meetings, as observers, and work in partnership with trust schools.
The Trust Board is made up of a well-established and experienced committee represented by many professionals who bring a wealth of experience to our trust. Many policies exist at MAT level and are reviewed and approved by trustees.
Under our scheme of delegation, currently each academy in the trust has a Local Governing Body, which sits alongside the overarching Trust Board. The Local Governing Boards focus on the quality of teaching, outcomes and pastoral care and work closely with Heads of School.
Our partner school, Park Hall Infant Academy, joined The Loriners MAT in 2022, having been a very early converter to single academy status in 2010. The infant academy exemplifies the best of foundation learning and nurture of the whole child in order to develop and grow. As a cornerstone of fantastic practice, the academy has led on many initiatives across the borough and the wider environment.
Wonderful resources and fantastic outdoor space allows children’s learning to be enriched through practical and discovery opportunities.
The infant academy has also benefited from a number of successful CIF awards, resulting in 3 new classrooms being built, a significant extension to the hall facilitating greater opportunities for physical education and development of outdoor space and nature areas. A wonderful nursery for 52 FTE children is enriched through quality resources and highly skilled practitioners.
